[edit] This page is a mess
I'm going to attempt to do some cleaning up, especially the History section, as it's huge and contains a lot of non-historical information.
Also, renamed sport and added some cultural stuff in.
Academia should probably take some stuff from History.
I absolutely agree! —This unsigned comment was added by 60.241.7.231 (talk • contribs) .
I think a lot of the section on the house system is innappropriate, seeing as it speaks in the first person and provides a lot of information not fit to be in an encyclopedia, such as asking people to contact the school for more information
Someone is continually coming back and adding vain, useless and innappropriate information to the page that appears to have been copied from the school's web site. This information needs to be removed immediately. 220.253.84.126 03:02, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Sex Abuse
I've included information about the Kevin Lynch incident. It's been dominating the Brisbane Grammar School page and its only fair it was on this page as well, seeing as though it was more of an issue at this school than it was at Grammar. --Kiran90 12:17, 26 August 2006 (UTC)
Please, dont remove information without discussing it. This is a very relevent issue and if its on every other school's talk page, it should be here. i'll add some references. --Kiran90 09:59, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, for large claims against people or organisations we must remove critical unverified claims on sight. When you readdd the information make sure to add the references on the same edit. Ansell 10:15, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
they are now sourced. Sorry about that, i musn't have sourced it properly --Kiran90 10:52, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
I dont see any claims in any of the references about this school being involved in the 'Kevin Lynch' incident. 1 link is dead, 1 link is a link for a solicitor for abuse victims 1 is a solicitors link for there past wins on school based sexual abuse. and the 3rd (PDF file) does not even mention this school. Therefore i'm removing the sexual abuse as its sorces does not seem to tally up with the claims at all. I suspect it was added in one of the many vandalism attacks this page has suffered. If this is not true then double check sources and put it back in. SimonD 09:11, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
- "LYNCH Kevin John, 64 Brisbane Anglican school student counsellor. Found dead in car just hours after being charged with 7 counts of indecent assault against boy, aged 14, between 1992 and 1993 while counsellor at St Paul's Anglican College, Bald Hills, in Brisbane's north. Described by victim support group as one of QLD's most audacious child molesters. Lynch allegedly abused countless number of boys, aged 10 to 16, while at St Paul's Anglican College, Bald Hills (1989-1997), and St Joseph's Christian Brothers College, Gregory Terrace, Brisbane (c1979-1989). Also taught at Brisbane Grammar. Law firm Shine Roche McGowan estimates at least 23 potential litigants from St Paul's alone. In 2002, allegations surface AUS Governor-General and former Brisbane Anglican archbishop Peter HOLLINGWORTH authorised secret cash settlements to hush up evidence of sexual abuse against Lynch. (Queensland, Australia, 1997)." from [1] about half way down, the reference on the page had an extra slash for some reason so it would not have worked for you when you went checking. Ok I appologise I must of missed it a lot of legal jargon to go through and such. I'll revert it, though it might do with a re-write as its not very NPV and putting all the blame on the school system, specially when this happened over 10years ago.
- This section is in urgent need of reliable sources. The quote above comes from a domain which consists of an unattributed unsourced "collection of news reports". The domain is even registered by proxy. Why do the other sources not mention this college? [2] [3] [4] {pdf) -- zzuuzz (talk) 18:48, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

- I agree that the section should not be put in without more reliable sources. I did not put the quote back on myself because I was unsure as to its applicability. My reply above was to show that at least one of the references used, although it was broken at the time, contained a reference to this school and to Lynch. Ansell 02:24, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Doubling Up
I ask anyone who works on St. Joseph's College, Gregory Terrace to please not replicate the article for variations of the name (eg. St. Joseph's Gregory Terrace, and St. Josephs's Gregory Terrace [sic.]). I've had to re-direct these pages twice now in recent days, and if the culprit does this wilfully (since I'm sure it is a single person from multiple IP addresses), it is clear vandalism and I will take it up with an admin to take action against these IPs. Use Wikipedia in the way it was clearly designed for please.
So yeah, I just wanted to make genuine contributors aware of this. I've sent messages to the different IPs, with no response so far. Many thanks. Rob Lindsey 02:43, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] what is up with this page?
I didn't really read what this was about and don't know where to begin in editing it so I chose not to at all, but this whole thing is a silly piece of garbage. Rugby gods? EgyptianSushi 19:26, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
