[edit] $ 160,000 cost, Fire and Our Lady of Manaoag

At lease we now have idea of how much this church cost and the Statue charred: St. Hedwig Church's an hour and a half basement fire (April 9, 2008, underneath the altar) burned a 15 feet by 3 feet hole, but there were no injuries.^[1] The fire also charred the orignal image of the Chicago shrine of Our Lady of Manaoag, but a second image which was miraculously spared. The original statue was first brought to Chicago 17 years ago.^[2] --Florentino floro (talk) 06:43, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
