[edit] Fletcher Christian

Is this the same St Bees which Fletcher Christian was a pupil? --ukexpat 14:40, 15 May 2007 (UTC)

Supposedly, yes. I know for a fact his brother went to St. Bees, though for some reason the history of the school doesn't mention Fletcher Christian. A William Fletcher Christian did attend, which may have confused the DNB biographer. Just a supposition. Harlsbottom (talk) 12:20, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Re-assessment

This article is developing well. It should really be a B, but you need to add some references in the text to achieve the B rating for WP Schools (the existing reference list seems to be in effect a further reading list). Try and cut down on some of the trivia about the internal organisation of the school, exam timetables, terms, etc. The article would benefit from a section about the subjects which are taught at school. The alumni section should be re-arranged in alphabetical order or chronological order. You should aim to have references for all the alumni to prove that they attended the school. I'm upgrading the article to high importance based on its long history and the alumni. Dahliarose (talk) 22:32, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

I am somewhat surprised that basic information about the school is considered "trivia", especially since GA and FA school articles have similar information listed. Granted, a section on subjects would be welcome, however I for one am in no position to attest as to what subjects are studied currently. The alumni section is already in chronological order. I am currently working on a separate referenced list of almuni which will be moved into the mainspace in due course. Harlsbottom (talk) 13:40, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
