St. Xavier's College is one of Nepal's premier high school which also offer some college level courses. It was established in the year 1988 in the heart of Kathmandu valley with the aim of guiding future leaders of Nepal. The motto is excellence through leadership, training and service.

The school is co-educational and offers courses for ISC-Intermediate in Science (equivalent to Grade 11 and 12), BSc(Bachelor in Science), BSW (Bachelor in Social Works)and BBS(Bachelor in Business Studies).

The admission to the ISc is especially difficult. Every year more than 4500 students from all over Nepal apply and only 300 of the brightest are chosen. The admission process includes a preliminary cutoff score at Grade 10 national exam, a written examination and an interview.

The school was inaugurated by Late King Birendra of Nepal and is supervised by Society of Jesuits(Nepal).

Most of the students in ISc are famous in medical and engineering fields in Nepal and abroad. Some of the graduates have pursued studies overseas and end up in prestigious universities worldwide.
