St. Paul's Academy

St. Paul's Academy is an all male college preparatory high school located in Phoenix, Arizona. It was founded in 1961 by Lowell E. Andrews. It offers a rigorous college-prep curriculum. The school offers different environments for the students, and they can either board or commute each day.

There are three dormitories: Pablo, Diego, and Kachina. Each one offers a different living environment for the needs of each student.

St. Paul's Academy incorporates a degree system, dubbed 'Grand Order of the Knighthood of St. Paul's.' Students advance through various stages in this system, meanwhile, growing emotionally and spiritually. With each new degree comes more responsibilites as well as privileges.


These degrees are as follows: Neophyte - The beginning phase, little to no privileges.

Page Lieutenant - Second phase, students allowed to have iPods, portable game systems.

Page Capitan - Third phase, students allowed off-campus outings.

Squire - Fourth phase, students allowed a boom box, as well as unsupervised store visits.

Knight - Highest phase, students can have coffee. They are basically a junior staff member and have all the privileges of a staff member.

Knight Commander- On rare occasions, a student that exemplifies quality character while a Knight may become a Knight Commander. It usually only happens after the student has graduated.

The Lions compete in the 1A West division of the Arizona Interscholastic Association in 8-man football, basketball, baseball, and golf.

The boys live in dorms that are located four blocks from the school. Some of these dorms include Kachina, Diego, and Pablo. Typically, there are 2 or 4 man rooms. Each dorm homes about 20 students. Image:Advantage ph.jpg
