Saint James is a historic station for the Port Jefferson Branch of the Long Island Railroad. It is located on Lake Avenue and Second Street, just south of New York State Route 25A in St. James, New York.
Built in 1873 by the Smithtown and Port Jefferson Railroad, it remains the second oldest existing station of the Long Island Railroad. When Flowerfield Station was abandoned in 1958, commuters who previously used that station were redirected either to St. James or Stony Brook Stations. No buses stop at the station, however local suburban taxicab service is provided. The only modifications in recent years have been to make the station accessible to the disabled.
