St. James's Palace Stakes

The St. James's Palace Stakes is a Group 1 flat horse race in the United Kingdom for three-year-old thoroughbred colts. It is run over a distance of 1 mile at Ascot Racecourse during the Royal Ascot meeting in June.

It was first run in 1834 and is named after St. James's Palace, the Royal residence of the Tudor period. The race attained Group 1 status in 1988.
