St. Francis-St. Stephen's School serves as an integral part of the Geneva Catholic community's educational ministry. As an educated, faith-filled community, St. Francis-St. Stephen's School is dedicated to:
- Cultivating a sense of appreciation and respect for all life and the world around us as creations of our God.
- Providing educational and study skills that will continue throughout a lifetime learning process.
- Providing a firm foundation in all subjects-with greater emphasis on reading, mathematics, and language arts.

St. Francis DeSales School, founded in the late 1800s and St. Stephen School, in the early 1900s, were separate schools for many years until 1982, when they merged. The school is now located on the site of the St. Stephen's school, and employs a teaching staff with over 200 combined years of experience in teaching.

The current mascot is a Crusader. The school had an unofficial mascot. The mascot was one of the cheerleaders or an elementary student who wore a basketball mask such as the one shown at the right over her head and helped cheer on the basketball team.
