St. Brendan's parish serves the neighborhoods of Forest Hill, St. Francis Wood, and the area near the Laguna Honda Hospital. A statue of the parish's patron saint, St. Brendan the Navigator, stands in front of the church. The parish school, founded in 1947, is located across the street from the church. The school serves people from the surrounding neighborhood, and includes a parish center/gymnasium. It has mostly Irish or Italian students. They go kindergarten through eighth grade. Their teacher 8th and 7th grade teachers are Mr.Lopez and Mr.Courtney.
