St. Andrews United F.C. are a Scottish junior football club based in St. Andrews, Fife. Their home ground is Recreation Park.
The SJFA restructured prior to the 2006/7 season, and United found themselves in the twelve-team East Region Premier League. They finished eleventh in their first season in the division and were relegated to the Central Division.
[edit] Achievements
The clubs greatest achievement was winning the Scottish Junior Cup in season 1959-60. In the final they defeated Greenock Juniors 3-1 in front of a packed Hampden Park.
The club has enjoyed inconsistent success since. The most recent trophy was the Fife Cup win in season 2004-05 when they finally managed to overcome Hill o'Beath in a penalty shootout.
Average home gates are about 100, with more for big cup ties. The club also has a good away-support, with a fellow band of forty regulars who follow the team across the country.
