St. Aloysius school is a diocesan, catholic school. Its address is 39 South Avenue New Canaan, Connecticut 06840. It offers grades kindergarten to eight. The school day is six hours long, 185 days per school year. It is coeducational. Currently 200 students attend the school; 22 students in Grade 1, 26 students in Grade 2, 25 students in Grade 3, 23 students in Grade 4, 24 students in Grade 5, 25 students in Grade 6, 22 students in Grade 7, and 16 students in Grade 8. It is affiliated with the Roman Catholic Diocese of Bridgeport.

Saint Aloysius school is a community permeated with Catholic teachings and values where academic excellence is promoted through spiritual, intellectual, physical, and emotional development of each student.

St. Aloysius offers Mathematics, Science, Language Arts, Social Studies, Spanish, and Religion. As specials it offers Art, Physical Education, Computers (using the School's new Macintosh OSs) and Music.

[edit] Extra curricular activities

St. Aloysius fields a Junior varsity and Varsity basketball teams for both boys and girls. They have a girl's volleyball team and a coed track team. All these teams compete against the other catholic and private schools in the area. Also offered are the Performing arts group, who put on plays and sing at school masses and in the annual Spring Show. After school, art and a book bunch is offered for first and second grade. A Math Club is offered for grades 2-5, and for the same grades there is also a Scrabble club. A homework club is offered as well.
