The original article is copyright Journal de la Société des Océanistes in December, 1951. I'm assuming that copyright does not extend to translations? It's clear that the translator posted the translation and is making available to Wikipedia. Wikipedia does not protect the full text of an article, so the paragraph on the origins of the article should be moved to the talk page. The original text is an obituary, so it reads more like an homage rather than an encyclopedia entry. RosinDebow 14:56, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
