Stéphanie Dubois

Stephanie Dubois (Stéphanie Duboisis) a Quebecoise (Canadian) female tennis player, born on October 31, 1986 in Laval, Quebec, Canada. She competed in the Bell Challenge in 2004 and 2005. Dubois also competed in the Rogers Cup in 2005 and 2006. She defeated Kim Clijsters in 2006 when Clijsters retired from the match. Dubois was the first Canadian woman ever to qualify for the U.S. Open in 2006. She made it to the finals in the Lexington Challenger in 2005, the semifinals in 2006 and won the whole thing in 2007 by defeating Anne Keothavong 4–6, 6–3, 6–3. She then competed in the Oldum Brown Vancouver Open and won the doubles championship with her partner Marie-Eve Pelletier. She made it to the final in singles against Anne Keothavong again, but even though Dubois defeated her the previous week, Dubois lost in straight sets.
In 2007, Dubois and Renata Voracova reached the Bell Challenge final but lost to Christina Fusano and Raquel Kops-Jones in straight sets.
In 2008, she got in the main draw of the Australian Open and the French Open, participating in a first in the latter, where two Quebec native players were in the main draw by their own ranking for the first time.
Her career-high ranking was #95, achieved on May 26, 2008.
