Stéphane Buckland

Stéphane Buckland (born June 20, 1977) is a Mauritian athlete competing in the 200 metres.

- 2005 World Championships in Athletics, Helsinki - fifth place
- 2004 Summer Olympics, Athens - sixth place
- 2003 World Championships in Athletics, Paris - fifth place
- 2001 World Championships in Athletics, Edmonton - sixth place
- 2nd IAAF World Athletics Final - third place
- 1st IAAF World Athletics Final - third place
Buckland comes from the small island of Mauritius where there are quite a few sporting icons such as Vikash Dhorasoo who is a Franco-Mauritian, Eric Milazar who is a 400m runner.
He is regarded as a hero in his country for his sporting achievements and his contributions on poverty.
