[edit] Criticism of the elections

There were a number of reports in the Western press that observers found irregulaties in the polling process. This report from the Associated Press is typical. There are no references to any of this criticism in the article as it stands - which, in my opinion, makes it a bit unbalanced. In addition, as worded, it gives the impression that groups such as People's Action for Free and Fair Elections held the elections to be free and fair whereas they, in point of fact, take a more nuanced view, as the press reports and their own press releases show (note that they are quite even-handed in their critique, placing some of the blame squarely on the LTTE). Perhaps those working on the article could consider inserting an appropriate section? -- Arvind (talk) 20:49, 25 May 2008 (UTC)

Which is glaring ommision given the RSS sources that back up that claim. Taprobanus (talk) 14:59, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
