Srirampur is a census town under Purbasthali police station [1] of Kalna subdivision in Bardhaman in the Indian state of West Bengal.

Srirampur is located at 22.95° N 88.02° E[2]. It has an average elevation of 19 metres (62 feet).

It is located on the agriculturally rich alluvial plains between the Bhagirathi, Ajay and Damodar rivers. [3] Temperatures in this region varies from 17-18°C in winter to 30-32°C in summer. [4] it is on the banks of Balluka river, which then joins the Behula, and finally the latter flows into the Bhagirathi. [5]

As of 2001 India census[6], Srirampur had a population of 17,715. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Srirampur has an average literacy rate of 70%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 77%, and female literacy is 63%. In Srirampur, 11% of the population is under 6 years of age.
