Sripada Pinakapani

Dr. Sripada Pinakapaani (b.August 3, 1913) is a well-known Doctor, Administrator, Professor in Medicine and more than these he is recognized in the music world as the Carnatic Musician.
He lives in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh.
He was head of the Medicine department in Kurnool Government Hospital and Kurnool Medical College.
He got the title of Sangeetha Kalanidhi (Treasure for the art of music).
He has been honoured with Sangeet Natak Akademi Award[1] in 1977 and Padma Bhushan by Government of India.
His famous disciples include Dr. Nedunuri Krishnamurthy, Dr. Nookala Chinna Satyanarayana etc.
He wrote several books on carnatic music and Gaanakalasarvasvamu ran multiple volumes which had every minute detail of krithis.
