Sriniwas Tiwari also known as the 'White Tiger'('Safed Sher'), 'Lion Of VindhyaPradesh', is the former Madhya Pradesh Speaker and Minister. He is leaving in Amahiya rewa(m.p.)

A freedom fighter turned politician he has been MLA and Minister in MP govt right from the very beginning in 1956 since MP state was formed. At that time he was one of the youngest member of legislative assembly in the state. A well known political figure at the state and the national level, he gave the Rewa region a distinct identity.

He is one of the most respected Brahmin leaders in the region which has particularly high number of Brahmins with Rewa being the parliamentary constituency with the highest number of Brahmin voters in India.

He draws extreme reaction in Rewa. He also spearheads the movement for a separate Vindhya Pradesh state, but the movement is yet to gather momentum.

Shriyut Sriniwas tiwari was a renowned lawyer of his time and is recognized for his deep understanding of law. Every year his birthday is celebrated in Rewa with great fanfare with tens of thousands of people taking part in the celebrations.

In his early eighties, he doesn't show much signs of slowing down. With state elections due in 2008,expectations are high and people can't wait for him to be at the place he so highly deserves.
