The Sreenidhi Institute of Science and Technology (SNIST) is an Indian technical institute located in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh.It is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad.

SNIST was established in 1997 and is sponsored by Sree Education Society of the Sree Group of Industries. It states it's objectives as the success of its students in the globally competitive technological world and leadership in their chosen profession.[citation needed]

Sreenidhi has been the Recipient of the National Award for Best HRD Practices by Indian Society for Training and Development, New Delhi. Sreenidhi has established a Technology Development and Test Centre which is the only one of its kind in the country in cooperation with an industry to test high pressure valves used in underground mines, with the approval from Director General of Mines, Safety. Sreenidhi is one amongst the top twelve technical institutions in Andhra Pradesh to receive the World Bank assistance under TEQIP scheme.[citation needed] The college is rated as No.30 in India among self-financing engineering institutes.[citation needed]

SNIST campus covers an area of 33 acres. It is located at a distance of approximately 15 kilometres from Uppal in Yamnampet village of Ghatkesar mandal in Rangareddy district of Andhra Pradesh.

Sreenidhi offers Engineering degree programs in the following branches with the approval of Government of India, Government of Andhra Pradesh and with affiliation from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad.Vaughn College of Aeronautics and Technology in New York,USA has entered into a collaboration agreement with SNIST to offer its BS degrees programs at SNIST campus from the year 2007 onwards.

Students are admitted into the seven branches of engineering under the following categories.

  • Foreign Students (Supernumerary)
  • NRI / Others
  • EAMCET Category

Besides this, the Government of Andhra Pradesh allows admission of diploma holders into 2nd year under "lateral entry scheme" to the extent of 10% of intake to each of the branches on supernumerary basis.
