Sravasti Abbey is a monastery along the lines of Shasta Abbey, Gampo Abbey, and Abhayagiri Buddhist Monastery, etc. I have been meaning to add Sravasti abbey to the list of growing abbeys in the United States and modeled the article after Shasta, Gampo and Abhayagiri. The size and scope of all of these abbeys are similar and the level in which the abbess is renowned is equivalent to the other abbots and abbesses. If you feel that the style in which this article is written does not comply with the standards, please feel free to edit the article. My personal association with the abbey is not of any official capacity. I have visited the place on several occasions and decided that I would post it while here because it's the only time and place I had time to write such an article, but otherwise I have kept absolute neutrality and observed the standards of the other articles on the same subject.

Furthermore, I also decided to add this article on the basis that there was already several articles related to Ven. Chodron, including Bhikshuni ordination and the Hamburg conference. One of these link to a non-existing Sravasti Abbey article.

as the reviewing admin, I consider this encyclopedic enough not to be deleted by speedy, thought it will need some references to it from outside third party sources to avoid deletion otherwise. DGG (talk) 19:24, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
