[edit] Squirms

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Squirms, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at its talk page. Removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, but the article may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. Thanks for trying, but that was not what I intended. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a free webhost, which means that we have articles on all subjects that are considered notable by other reputable sources like newspapers or printed professional magazines. The article on your comic (I suppose you are the creator) was nominated for deletion because it has not been discussed in any reliable publication (note that discussion on fan sites, fora, banner exchanges, ... don't indicate notability and would not help in keeping the article, even if I had found any of these). This does not mean that your comic is bad, nor that it may never have an article. If it gets discussed in a newspaper, if it gets printed in newspapers or by professional publishers, if it receives an independent major award, ... then you (or preferably someone unrelated to the comic) can create an article about it immediately, and it would not be deleted again (if the claim to notability can be proven, not just because someone says so of course). We delete more than a thousand articles a day, many of them for starting bands, artists, comics, writers, ... I hope you stay to edit other articles and contribute to Wikipedia, but the chance that the article on your comic will stay is very slim. You can give your opinion on it on the deletion discussion page, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Squirms. The discussion will normally run for five days, and be closed by an admin based on policy (not necessary on just counting those wanting to keep or delete it). Fram 20:35, 15 February 2007 (UTC)

>>Ok, sorry for the squirms article. It can be deleted whenever you want to delete it.
