[edit] Userbox ideas
In future, if you post an idea, please post it in the "to do" section only. It does not require its own section, and it does not need a "i did it myself" comment either. On completion, as the instructions state (if you bothered to read them), the idea should be pasted into the done section, with a strikethrough, saying "DONE" and a link to the template's page. You can clearly see that is policy by the fact that the whole "Done" section is organised that way. - • | Đܧ§§Ť | • T | C 15:37, 1 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Userpage
Your user page shows up in {{Category:Boy Scouts of America}} and in {{Category:Order of the Arrow}}. I would appreciate it if you removed those two categories from your user page, as they are not needed: the user boxes should do that. --Gadget850 ( Ed) 15:27, 7 February 2006 (UTC)
No problem- users show up in the cats fairly often. Just wanted to make you aware of it, and now you know how to keep from doing it again. --Gadget850 ( Ed) 17:55, 7 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Legs
You should probably add a note to your new articles on arthropod femur, etc., to clarify that the name is analogous with the femur, etc., of vertebrate species, but also that there is no actual bone present in the arthropod. DS 16:56, 10 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Richard O'Brien
Hi, nice one for getting involved on this page. Looking forward to your article about Kimi Wong, I've had trouble finding out much about her. Cheers, Deizio 21:28, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] your comments on mosquito talk page
It is unclear to me why you keep making an issue of my use of multiple accounts. All of my recent edits to the mosquito talk page (as with all of my other recent edits) have been completely supported by wikipedia policy. Specifically, my deletion of some segments of the mosquito article was completely justified by wikipedia:verifiability and wikipedia's proibition on original research. As for your request that I make my non vulgar mosquito edits with my "primary" username (though, to be honest, at this username has pretty much become my primary account), I cannot do this because editing the same article with both usernames, particularly when those edits are opposed by the same parties who opposed my previous edits, could easily be construed as an abusive use of sockpuppets. As for your reference to wikipedia:checkuser, if you read checkuser guidelines, you will find that it is only to be used in situations such as vandalism in which sockpuppets are used abusively, as the checkuser policy gives strong deference to user privacy. As all of the edits I have done with this account have been in line with policy (in fact, I have actually reverted quite a bit of vandalism and, yes, made many non-controversial edits and have even received a barnstar) and I have never even been accused of vandalism, let alone blocked, it is hard to see how a checkuser against me could be justified. As such, my anonymity seems reasonably safe. I just hope in the future we can cooperate to improve wikipedia and you do not assume that my edits are in bad faith just because we had a legitimate disagreement about the "kiddie song"; particularly since my arguments for inclusion were very much grounded in wikipedia policy. Interestingstuffadder 20:14, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for noticing that on my userbox collection, I'll have to remove it. I dont see how assume good faith is even an issue or my edits can be considered distruptive when I have provided solid references to wikipedia policy that pretty clearly say my actions are legitimate. Did you even look at the explanations I provided for my actions? I mean, there is a policy that explicitly says that an editor can remove uncited information at any time. Also, much of what was in those sections very much met wikipedia's definition of original research. I am trying very hard to be civil, collegial and to cooperate with you. Why do you insist on continuing to have a negative attitude towards me? Interestingstuffadder 23:23, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
-
- I really dont understand why you are making an issue of this. Actually, I should really just rmeove that line from my userpage, as I have probbly made 100X more edits with this username than with any other. Interestingstuffadder 18:44, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] WikiProject Pennsylvania
There are four articles being threatened by a merge proposal. The details are listed here Wikipedia:WikiProject_Pennsylvania#Announcements. Would you mind weighing in (hopefully in support) of keeping the articles. --evrik 01:44, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for the barnstar. I have lost count on how many articles I have created or expanded. I know that I have a lot left to do. Thanks again!Dincher 02:19, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Pittsburgh Barnstar

[edit] History of Pittsburgh - request for collaboration
I've put a lot of additional work into this article, based on feedback from when it was a Featured Article Candidate. Also updated the maps to give them a more standard appearance. I'm going to submit the article for peer review and then FAC again. Before I do, though, I need some help from the WikiProject Pittsburgh. Please take some time and help with these tasks:
- improve the article with changes, additions and deletions
- some stern proof-reading, please
- give it a quality/importance rating at Talk:History of Pittsburgh
- leave feedback at Talk:History of Pittsburgh
Thanks. I'll be leaving this note at the talk pages of the project members who have been most active in Pittsburgh-related articles. Tomcool 14:42, 27 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Obsolete Images
[edit] Image:Youth relig knot.PNG listed for deletion
An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:Youth relig knot.PNG, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please look there to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. NThurston 18:08, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
- Glad you like it. We are trying to re-do images in svg format because they generally look nicer at different scales, and it's also being pushed by Wiki because they are easily edited. In looking at your userboxes, you may also be interested in checking out the new version of {{User Eagle Scout}} which has a switch and special images for Eagles with palms. I also created a switch version for Religious Awards: {{User BSA Religious Award}} which is similar to what you have now, but includes options for youth and adult knots. --NThurston 14:19, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Userboxes
The vigil sash qualifies as fair use, so it shouldn't be on user pages. I updated your OA Vigil image to the free image currently in {{User:UBX/vigil}}. You may also be interested in {{User published author}}. --NThurston 14:25, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Could you help me write this article?
Hello,
I was wondering if you would be willing to help me write either Seikichi_Iha or Shorin-ryu_Shido-kan. Tkjazzer 21:48, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Notability of Kim Sanches
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Kim Sanches, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Kim Sanches seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Kim Sanches, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 03:08, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Relaunching WikiProject Pittsburgh meetups
You are receiving this message because you are a member of the WikiProject Pittsburgh. In the past we have discussed a meetup idea - let's see if we can make it a reality during the summer. [edit] Tree hole
Looks like this topic is already covered at Tree throw. I'm not sure what I deleted, because Tree hole redirects to Tree throw. Anyway, please make any additions to the Tree throw article. Thanks, NawlinWiki 19:08, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Pennsyltucky map
Good work. --evrik (talk) 19:17, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Horse Fly
No worries. I understand how annoying vandals can be. Once the semi-protection expires, if they come back, just give me a shout. Regards, --Asteriontalk 18:06, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Userbox
Image:BSA Youth Religious Symbol.svg has been determined to be be non-free, may not be used in userboxes and will be deleted. The free alternative is Image:BSA Youth Religious knot.svg. [edit] Removal of category from your userpage
Hi. In enacting consensus from User categories for discussion, I have removed the category Category:Wikipedians interested in books from your userpage. It was determined in that deletion debate that this category should be depopulated of individuals, but kept as a parent category. If you wish to display a category reflecting your interest in books, please consider one of the specific sub-categories under its umbrella. Thanks, and please excuse the necessary editing of your user page! ----Moonriddengirl (talk) 16:48, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] WikiProject Pennsylvania
Hi Squamate. You currently have yourself listed as a participant in the Pennsylvania WikiProject. If you are still active in the project then ignore this message. However if you are busy or no longer wish to be involved, please remove yourself from the list so we can get an updated count on the number of active members. Thank you!
