[edit] Removing an odd quote

I found the preceeding quote in the article: "The animation is done in Klasky-Csupo.".

Firstly, this isn't a proper sentance. Secondly, it's unclear whether this means "The animation is done in Klasky-Csupo STYLE" or "The animation is done by Klasky-Csupo"

However, either way, not only this either a purely subjective opinion of a "style" or a purely incorrect statement (Since Klasky-Csupo has been officially shut down as a studio) i'm going to go ahead and remove this, which is not even a proper sentance, anyway. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.208.59.9 (talk) 23:50, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

Will anyone give this show a chance and actually watch —Preceding unsigned comment added by Squirepants101 (talkcontribs)

-I watched a sneak peek and really liked it. The Squirrel's alot like what i've seen of Duckman.

-I wonder if that Andy is a reincarnation of Andy Dick or something... might be in the past... Coincedince?

[edit] Squirrel Boy

The following suggestions were generated by a semi-automatic javascript program, and may or may not be accurate for the article in question.

  • Please expand the lead to conform with guidelines at WP:LEAD. The article should have an appropriate number of paragraphs as is shown on WP:LEAD, and should adequately summarize the article.[1]
  • Per WP:WIAFA, Images should have concise captions.[2]
  • Generally, trivia sections are looked down upon; please either remove the trivia section or incorporate any important facts into the rest of the article.
  • There are a few occurrences of weasel words in this article- please observe WP:AWT. Certain phrases should specify exactly who supports, considers, believes, etc., such a view. For example,
    • apparently
    • might be weasel words, and should be provided with proper citations (if they already do, or are not weasel terms, please strike this comment).[3]
  • Watch for redundancies that make the article too wordy instead of being crisp and concise. (You may wish to try Tony1's redundancy exercises.)
    • While additive terms like “also”, “in addition”, “additionally”, “moreover”, and “furthermore” may sometimes be useful, overusing them when they aren't necessary can instead detract from the brilliancy of the article. This article has 11 additive terms, a bit too much.
  • This article needs footnotes, preferably in the cite.php format recommended by WP:WIAFA. Simply, enclose inline citations, with WP:CITE or WP:CITE/ES information, with <ref>THE FOOTNOTE</ref>. At the bottom of the article, in a section named “References” or “Footnotes”, add <div class="references-small"><references/></div>.[4]
  • The article will need references. See WP:CITE and WP:V for more information.
  • Please ensure that the article has gone through a thorough copyediting so that it exemplifies some of Wikipedia's best work. See also User:Tony1/How to satisfy Criterion 1a. [5]

[edit] Cereal

What cereal is Captain Puffy the mascot for? I forgot the name of the cereal. ANSWER: Puffy Pirate Shirt Puffs!

[edit] Andy's Head

Why is it concave?! It rly bothers me for some reason.

Because it's a cartoon. Rzrscm 03:52, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

RE: The animators suck at drawing and every other thing. That's why.

And I assume you're better? Rzrscm 04:39, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

RE: The animators DO suck at drawing and don't even admit it. (At least I will admit I suck at drawing)

[edit] Salty Mike

Everyone, STOP SAYING THAT SALTY MIKE IS CALLED "PEPPER JACK"! Rodney called him "Pepper Jack" ONCE! Sorry for the screaming, but PLEASE stop it. Rodney does not have a habbit of saying it. "Pepper Jack" was a joke because he was angry. Besides, it was Salty Mike's first episode. Rodney might have forgotten his real name. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.224.10.230 (talk) 02:26, 10 February 2007 (UTC).

[edit] Informal tone

The tone of this article needs to be improved. It has an informal tone that doesn't fit its role in an excyclopedia. The intro is good, but the character listing needs work. --Lendorien 00:35, 16 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Darlene

Please, do not compare Darlene with this child-oriented show character Sandy Cheeks (it looks too bad for the company with the best cartoons in the world(I mean Cartoon Network))!

[edit] Lacking sources?

This article is tagged as lacking sources, yet provides a link to one of the most reliable sources available: the official Cartoon Network series website. Unless there is disagreement, the tag should be removed.Yngvarr 21:19, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Jetix UK

Is it ture that Squirrel Boy airs on Jetix UK in 2008? I'm not sure about this! HMR September 3, 2007 10:11 (UTC)

No press releases say so and it'd be highly unlikely that'd happen as it's still a CN property and if it isn't succesful they can just ignore it and either shove it off to Boomerang to die or ignore it completely. TimeWarner owns the rights to Squirrel Boy in the UK[1] so it's just a case of waiting for it to come along. --treelo talk 12:04, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Production ended

I recently emailed creator Everett Peck, and he replied to my question on the show's current status. The show has ended production, and therefor the second season was the last one. Here is the actual reply:

UBracter,
Hi, Squirrel Boy is out of production. Cartoon Network has gone through a lot of reorganization and all comedy series are finished except "Chowder" and "Flapjack" which have limited orders.
E.

--UBracter (talk) 17:29, 27 April 2008 (UTC)

Interesting but you run into an issue as there's no verifiable proof of this even though Peck said so in an email to you. The rest raises interesting questions on still ongoing programming besides newly aired and yet to air series but as none of it actually bares on the content of the article let's lead it back to the show's apparent cancellation. So, we have an email from a producer about the show he produces, stating that the show has finished production. Good, nicely official and worth mentioning but how do you prove it? No proof and its likely to get reverted. --treelo talk 19:20, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
