I wasn't sure if it was Leviathan that took the Squats out. Where is the reference to the Tyranids eating the Squats, anyway? Isn't it in some novel or short story collection? Anyone have an exact quotation? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 12.180.55.25 (talk • contribs) .

I've only read the quote on the Squat Homeworlds' destruction from an interview with the writers and designers of Codex: Tyranids. They apparently wanted to include the reference but left it out due to time and/or space. I don't think the information is official beyond this quote of writer's intent and Jervis' online post. It's still safe to say that their absence from the game for the last 15 years indicates they are at least no longer a major power that controls large parts of the center of the galaxy, either way. --Utsanomiko 21:19, 1 July 2006 (UTC)
In Citadel Journal 33 (I believe) the Imperium was mentioned as absorbing the Homeworlds into the Imperium over "hundreds of years", so it looks like a splinter fleet of Behemoth (Which do exist, as seen on that strange graph on page 26 of the Tyranid Codex).172.188.119.228 12:31, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

Albeit I am much in favour of the statement that they are referred to by the nickname stuntie, this is disputable; many a person I talk to believe this is a reference to the ratlings. Removal?Spacedwarv 02:00, 11 May 2007 (UTC)

"Stuntie" is specific to Squats, as detailed in the old Ork background in "Waaargh! The Orks." --Pariah Press 18:40, 16 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Should Squats Return?

Me personaly, I think they should reintroduce squats to warhammer 40,000. I mean, They have Orcs(Orks), Elfs(Eldar), Humans(Imperial Guard and Space Marines) But no Dwarfs!
