Dear bots,
I, Spyder_Monkey, hereby renounce any and all responsibility for "fair use" logos of tennis tournaments. It's too much trouble to go through just to see the logo of the frickin tournament displayed on that tournament's page. Apparently, whatever I'm doing that is kosher at the time suddenly has become un-kosher, and I've decided to give up, so, I guess you win. <sarcasm> Wiki is certainly better off without these logos, which are hideous breaches of copyright law and usually punishable by "death by template messages". </sarcasm> If you would, please deposit all "warnings" about "disputed" fair use images on my talk page archive entitled User talk:Spyder Monkey/Archive 1 - OMG LOGOS. After all, you're kinda cluttering up my talk page.
Love,
Spyder_Monkey
PS: Since you are bots, and not rational human beings who could tell that there is no danger of Wikipedia being sued and shut down over tennis tournament logos being displayed on the page that describes the tournament, I know you won't put them on that page. But I guess it doesn't hurt to try.

Review of California Crazy by Spyder Monkey Genre: Alternative Rock 3.7
nice voice babe the production on the song is good. i like the guitar lick at the begining of the track. it is very cool. the mix is good. this is one of those songs that, no matter what, or how it is mixed or recorded would be good. you can tell a truly great track from slop thrown together if it captures your attention, not just how well it was recorded. this song has both, it is recorded really well, and it has a great feel about i think i will listen again. very nicely done here. rock on Extra Credit: Female Vocals, Guitars, Production, Mood, Originality.

[edit] Davis Cup/Tennis Match templates
Now it works. I think that Template:TennisMatch need some changes. (Sorry I don't speak english very well.) Kedarus 09:42, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
You don't use Template:DavisCupbox? How do you plan in future, in new pages? I would like to help you with creating new pages. Kedarus 10:03, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
There are some problems, write me if you have some tips for solution:
- If not fill results one player of match is highlight as winner.
- When match not end normal (w/o, not played, not completed). --Kedarus 09:12, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Davis Cup
What is better? What do you plan for split pages.
- xxx Davis Cup - yyy Zone or xxx Davis Cup yyy ZoneKedarus 07:49, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
What do you mean about this. On pages 2007 Davis Cup and 2007 Davis Cup - World Group are same part Draw. Kedarus 07:51, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
What do you think about rewrite Template:TennisMatch for Template:DavisCupbox ? Kedarus 06:51, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
See on Template:DavisCupbox, there are write new arguments for using this template if match not ending normal. I thing now it is used for 100% matches. Kedarus 07:03, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Le Mans races
First off I'd like to say I appreciate your work in attempting to cut up Le Mans 24h Races into the individual articles. Just a request though, if possible, if you could possibly clean up some of the ones that you paste since they contain errors or are simply written poorly. I certainly will assist in this, but the more help the better. Thanks. The359 03:58, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Tennis edits
Hello there. A slightly more detailed edit summary would have been helpful so that I could see exactly why you were deleting so much material. In any event, restoring some of the detail you deleted is not the only thing I did. I made some substantive changes to increase accuracy and eliminate ambiguity.
I am not in favor of deleting the great players sections, although I would be open to revising the sections so that the people and teams listed must satisfy explicit, objective criteria, like total number of Grand Slam titles won during their careers. (Some of the people listed already have statistical information beside their names.) Many established tennis editors have contributed to these lists, and I believe there needs to be a list of great or best or significant (or whatever you want to call it) tennis players to provide historical context for this sport. Best regards. Tennis expert 06:08, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
Hello, "In Australian doubles, both players on the same team line up on the same side of the court, with one player at the net and one in the backcourt." - A lot of excess verbiage. The serving team plays Aussie doubles, but you allow that the recieving team might. Why mention that one player is at the baseline? That states the obvious. Where else is the server going to be? "The one in back will generally move to the vacant side of the court after the point begins, which forces the opposing player to hit the ball down the line." No, but the receiver does hit down the line. "This formation also allows the player at the net to poach more easily." Right. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ken2849 (talk • contribs)
- First, let me thank you for coming to my talk page to berate me, and then not signing your comment. Second, I only moved that from the main tennis article; I didn't write it in the first place. I see you've fixed it up (along with lots of other individual edits), so I guess there's really nothing to discuss. Spyder_Monkey (Talk) 00:36, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Tennis
I have no interest in making the Tennis article a "featured article" if making the article worse is the price to be paid for that status. I regret that you are frustrated with my disagreement with some of your edits. But if I believe you are making the article worse, then you should naturally expect me to continue disagreeing. This is not personal, as I have no beef with you personally and have no agenda about disagreeing with your edits just for the sake of disagreeing. Best regards. Tennis expert 03:05, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
- I understand that we disagree, but I'd like to know exactly how. What, specifically, did you not like about my last edit? How did my edits "make the article worse"? What else in the article do you feel needs to stay the same? Is there anything in the article that you feel could be changed, or do you feel like it's perfect the way it is? What do you not like about the FA standards? These are honest questions; I want to get a sense of your feelings about the article so we can move forward constructively. --Spyder_Monkey (Talk) 03:21, 30 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Davis Cup Project
Great work on the historical Davis Cups. Where are you pulling all your data from? The official site? You should make a note about what you've done/how you've done it on the WikiProject Tennis page. I'm going to create draw's for all the men's and women's French Championships from 1925 to the start of the Open Era, so I'd like to make sure my player links match up with yours. --dantheox 16:35, 8 April 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for the props. All the data comes from the Davis Cup site; it's got every tie that ever been played. I'll post a note on the project talk page. Mostly what I need help on is the team pages. Only a few are beyond stubs. As for player links, I've just put in names that are on the site's database, since I don't really know what the most common nickname for most of these players would have been. --Spyder_Monkey (Talk) 20:01, 8 April 2007 (UTC)

- I was mostly interested in a list of player names, if you've got one or can easily generate it. --dantheox 06:26, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
- No, I don't have anything like that. The best I can offer is the Davis Cup site's player search (although it doesn't seem to be working right now...). You can get lists of every player by country. Fed Cup has one too, although that will be of less help in the pre-open era. --Spyder_Monkey (Talk) 22:13, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Porsche in motorsport
Congratulations on your recent changes to Porsche in motorsport - they've greatly improved the article. -- DH85868993 03:31, 13 April 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks! It needs a little more work; it barely mentions the 956 and 962, Can-Am, maybe talks a little too much about Lake Underwood, and the prose is confusing and awkward at times. I'll watch my Victory by Design tape and see what else I can do :).--Spyder_Monkey (Talk) 03:47, 13 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Duplicate images uploaded
Thanks for uploading Image:Orange Prokom Open logo.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Orange Prokom Open.jpg. [edit] Mil Milhas Brasil
From my understand, the Mil Milhas will remain a 1000 mile event this year even though the Le Mans Series is competing. However, a quick look at the official LMS website doesn't specifically state the race distance, so I was wondering if you had something more concrete regarding this. Anyway, thanks for creating the recent articles, they've really been needed. The359 03:29, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
- To be honest, I just assumed that they would shrink it down to 1000k like the others. I see now that that assumption was wrong. My bad. On the plus side, there's been some good info added! --Spyder_Monkey (Talk) 07:28, 27 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Little context in Category:Myanmar sports teams
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Category:Myanmar sports teams, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Category:Myanmar sports teams is very short providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Category:Myanmar sports teams, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. [edit] Thanks
Thanks for tidying up a couple of tennis player articles I started. I noticed them on the requested articles page and was surprised players I'd heard of like Pascale Paradis didn't have pages. I guess that dates me! I'll do a few more when I can, people like Sharon Walsh should definitely have pages. Thanks again. Nick mallory (talk) 08:01, 30 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] What Constitutes a Stub (Tennis article question)
I noticed that in your edits to the article on Stakhovsky that I began yesterday that you replaced the bio-stub tag, which I was about to delete, with two additional stubs, european and ukrainian stubs.
Given that the article has sections on his junior career and every year as a pro for the last four years, it seems anything but a "stub" at this point.
What is it about this article that makes you feel it is still a "stub"? ShabbatSam (talk) 20:46, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
- Hey there. No, this is just a case of me not thinking while editing. I just saw the general stub tag, so I updated it. It's well beyond a stub, and actually quite a good article. My apologies. --Spyder_Monkey (Talk) 21:47, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
