Spurwink Services (formerly Spurwink School) is a nationally accredited non-profit organization serving individuals who are facing emotional, behavioral and developmental challenges. Headquartered in Portland, Maine, Spurwink Services offers individualized care and treatment and evidence-based practice to meet the diverse needs of children, adolescents, adults and families. With over 60 community-based residential homes, seven special purpose schools, outpatient clinics and family-centered programming, Spurwink Services is making a differnece in the lives of thousands of individuals each year by "going the distance and changing lives."

Spurwink was founded in 1960 in Portland, Maine with the creation of a residential program for "troubled boys." Over time, the agency rose to meet the needs of the people of Maine by developing a wide array of community-based educational and mental health services for children, adults and families.
