La Belle Dame sans Merci
I saw this and a few other Waterhouses at a bed&breakfast in Southeast England and I'll never forget how beautiful they were (they were the first Waterhouses I'd seen).

That's the only real-looking mermaid I've ever seen—the rest are so ridiculous I just want to puke.

I actually thought that was a clock the very first time I saw it.

She looks surprisingly detached…

That looks almost Impressionistic (although not as much as the Gather Ye Rosebuds While Ye May series)…

I am Half Sick of the Shadows Said the Lady of Shalot
Most of his late-later works I don't like, but this is an exception.
