[edit] DH Holmes at Springdale?

I was reading a couple of Mobile Press Register clippings regarding Springdale, and back in the early 1960s, DH Holmes officials expressed interest in constructing a 100,000 square foot store at Springdale as the anchor of a potential north wing expansion. This north wing would have featured thirty open-air storefronts in addition to the DH Holmes building. DH Holmes didn't enter Mobile's market until the early 1970s, with the aquisition and subsequent overhaul of the Hammels department store at Bel Air Mall. NitekMobilian 03:32, 9 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Not defunct

Removed Category:Defunct shopping malls in the United States, as this mall is not defunct(defined as: no longer in effect or use; not operating or functioning) Though partially converted to an open-air mall, it is still a fully functioning mall. Though some other converted malls are in this category does not mean that they belong there either. Altairisfartalk 06:13, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
