Sprite (Artemis Fowl)

In Artemis Fowl, a sprite is a member of the fairy family that still has natural wings. A representation of a sprite in Artemis Fowl would be Chix Verbil, who, like most sprites, thinks he is irresistible to ladies.
Sprites, in Artemis Fowl, have green skin, wings (which are, incidentally, their largest organs and contain several major blood vessels), pointy ears and possess a happy-go-lucky attitude. They have average intelligence and love flying, more than anything.
A near fatal wound for a sprite is a gunshot in the wing, which happens to Chix Verbil in Artemis Fowl: The Arctic Incident though he is not believed to have died due to immediete care.
