Springfield, Ontario

Springfield is a community in Malahide Township, Elgin County, Ontario, Canada. It is located approximately 20 km southeast of London and approximately 6 km northeast of Aylmer in the middle of the southwestern Ontario tobacco belt. It is primarily a residential village of approximately 800 residents.
Springfield was incorporated as a village in 1878 and remained a separate municipality until municipal restructuring created the new Township of Malahide in 1998.
