Spring Scream

Spring Scream is an outdoor music festival held in early April each year at Kenting (墾丁) in southern Taiwan. The festival showcases a variety of music styles from bands both from Taiwan and overseas. Each year the festival adds the name of the current Chinese astrological animal to its name. The festival is organised by two expatriate Americans, Wade Davis and Jimi Moe and has grown significantly since its beginning in 1995. Every year the best of Taiwan's own rock bands will be joined by a host of others from around the world (Japan, Hong Kong, Australia, Canada, US, EU and the UK) to bring days of music and fun to all who attend (about 4000 Taiwanese young people and a great number of the younger foreign community in Taiwan). The event length has been between 2 to 11 days and as many as 300 acts on 8 stages. It also features a small film festival, art exhibits, DJs, stalls, food vendors, camping.
