Spring Creek Reservoir is located to the south east of Orange, New South Wales. The dam is owned and maintained by Orange City Council. Constructed in 1931, at the time it was the main water supply for Orange, however since the construction of Suma Park Dam, completed in 1962, has served as the secondary water supply for the city. The dam is located at the junction of Spring Creek and Gosling Creek. Gosling Creek is also dammed further upstream at Gosling Creek Reservoir. At full capacity Spring Creek Reservoir can store 4,500 megalitres of water. The dam has a catchment area of 63 square kilometres and a surface area of 1.1 square kilometres at full supply level. Recently Orange City Council has strengthened the dam wall. Kinross Wolaroi School also uses the dam for the sport of rowing.
