Spring-Heeled Jim
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Spring-Heeled Jim is a song by British musician Morissey from his 1994 album Vauxhall and I. The title may be a pun of Spring Heeled Jack, a character from English folklore said to be able to jump extraordinarily high.
The song features samples from "We are The Lambeth Boys," a 1958 British documentary about the daily activities of members of the Lambeth Youth club in late 1950's London. The dialogue excerpted is from two conversations, one about a fight between two young men and another about the death penalty.
