Fyrtaarnet paa Sprogø er opført i Aarene 1867-68 paa det Sted, hvor vistnok Valdemar den Store byggede et fast Taarn til Forsvar mod Venderne.
Dets Lanterne er 107 Fod over Havoverfladen.
