Talk:Spotswood, New Jersey

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I wonder if we should consider the historic Lenape sachem "Weequehela" notable. The trouble is that there's not much about him online, yet at least one or two historians consider him to have existed and been important, at least in Lenni Lenape history (and/or the history of Spotswood, NJ). He supposedly owned a mill that later got sold by his widow to whites, and the site became a snuff mill, and, if one online historian is right, it's on a site that later became (roughly) the Spotswood VFW or somewhere in the vicinity along the lake. — Rickyrab | Talk 02:43, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
