[edit] Uses

I learned Spotfire is used for microarray analysis (bioinformatics), I will try to fix this article as I learn more[1].Tstrobaugh 15:09, 13 July 2007 (UTC)

Spotfire is not a Bioinformatics software package. It might be used for this task, but then this software can be added to a lot of subject-specific categories, too. And this article needs a lot of improvement and is not even close in giving the right impression of the program. JKW 22:08, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
A quick Wikipedia and Google search unravel that it is already mentioned in the Business intelligence tools article, and I think this fits. Please ask for expert help! JKW 22:11, 22 July 2007 (UTC)

Find sources: Spotfirenews, books, scholar - significant news coverage. Addhoc 23:02, 22 July 2007 (UTC)

Certainly seems to be a BI package; not one I'm familiar with. Most of the recent coverage centers around the TIBCO buyout. Most of my other searches only came up with some rather bland press releases. Kuru talk 23:07, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
From the timeline I guess there is probably enough information to write a decent article. Addhoc 23:22, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
