To answer John1987, the reason I dropped the English translation is because it is taken from the "The Lied and Art Song Texts Page". I'm not sure whether we can use it because according to the page, it's copyrighted by Elfrieda Langemann O'Neill. Any idea guys? In the meantime, I'll check out the Bajazet 2005 recording CD liner notes for more information on this. --JY 16:22, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

It seems to me like fair use, but I'm light years away from being an expert. John Holly 23:24, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Giacommelli ???

I have an edition of Zeno's Merope in the famous composition by Geminiano Giacommelli for Venice 1734, starring Farinelli and Caffarelli, and I thought "Sposa, non mi conosci" was composed by Giacommelli for this production. When is Gasparini's Bajazet? Why is the article so unclear about dates?

Yeah, I find it weird too that the changes were made and asserted without an accessible link as the source. Too weird. However, I couldn't provide the other way too, that it's by Giacommelli. Anyone who has access to the opera archives or any written information that can clear this issue up??? Please help us! --JY 11:34, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
