"The club is affiliated (No.22) to Sport Lisboa e Benfica, the biggest club in Portugal." - what does this "affiliation" actually entail/mean, and what's significance of no 22? ChrisTheDude 12:51, 5 October 2006 (UTC)

In effect, the club in Lisbon has registered a link with the club in London (a type of satellite/feeder club that can supply players for the pro club). No.22 means that it was the 22nd club to do this with Benfica in Portugal.

It also means that the club in London is an official 'house' of Benfica in Portugal.

The London club does not benefit financially from having this agreement apart from appearing in the annual produced every year with all the other affiliated clubhouses from around the world.
