Talk:Spork Boards
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I don't know if there will ever be enough material for a separate article on the Spork Boards. Perhaps it should be merged and redirected to MacEdition, where a paragraph on the boards would fit nicely? -- Rbellin|Talk 17:27, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
Regarding the proposed speedy deletion as spam, there's no link here, so it's not obvious linkspam. I think the article's being added as a contribution to the history of Mac folklore, not as an attempt to linkspam. -- Rbellin|Talk 17:30, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
I'm pretty new to being a Wikipedia contributor, so I wasn't terribly surprised when my contributions were deleted as I slept last night. The intent for these two articles is not spam - while the Spork Boards still exists, the intent was simply to flesh out the information surrounding the MacEdition and Mac the Knife articles. -- Tomierna 17:36, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
So, Rbellin and I have both fleshed out the MacEdition, Mac the Knife and this article. Why is it being contested again? -- Tomierna 03:39, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
- Since there are clearly some users who feel that the subject isn't noteworthy enough for an article, a proper article-deletion debate has been started now. That, as opposed to the repeated speedy-deletion attempts, is the proper procedure when an article is in question. You're welcome to weigh in to both those deletion debates, and they should now unfold at a less hurried pace over the next few days. I apologize for the overly aggressive deleters who accused the articles of being clear-cut spam, but you wouldn't believe the amount of crap that Wikipedia gets flooded with every day; it's sometimes hard to treat each and every new article fairly. -- Rbellin|Talk 05:23, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
Alright, I started the AFD process. Personally, my vote is Keep as a stub for now, possibly merge with MacEdition if the stub isn't fleshed out more in a month. Perel 04:41, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
