The Spot-backed Puffbird (Nystalus maculatus) is a species of bird in the Bucconidae family, the puffbirds. It is found in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, and Paraguay. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests and dry savanna.
