Spokane Public Facilities District

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Spokane Public Facilities District (SPFD) is the organization in Spokane, Washington that manages the Spokane Arena and Spokane Center, which consists of the Spokane Convention Center and the INB Performing Arts Center. It was created in 1989 by the Washington State Legislature to create a plan to replace the old Spokane Coliseum. The Coliseum was eventually replaced by the Spokane Arena. The SPFD recently completed a 100,000 sq ft expansion of the Convention Center by building the Group Health Exhibit Hall. It is now renovating the existing convention center, as well as the INB Performing Arts Center.
