From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Though this image is potentially subject to copyright, its use is covered by the U.S. fair use laws, and the stricter requirements of Wikipedia's non-free content policies, because this is a low resolution scan of only a portion of the line diagram in Spoerri’s Topographie Anécdotée du Hasard (the “Anecdoted Topography”), Galerie Lawrence, Paris [1962], a pamphlet of 53 pages, in which each item on a table was mapped in the diagram and discussed in the text. As such, it represents only a small portion of the entire work. The Anecdoted Topography is critically discussed in the article on Daniel Spoerri where this image will be used and this illustration is central to that discussion, and significantly increases readers’ understanding of the work. Withoug this image, it would be difficult to understand the design and purpose of the Annecdoted Topography, and no other image or text would be adequate.
