Split Rock Township is a township in Carlton County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 124 at the 2000 census.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 36.6 square miles (94.8 km²), all of it land.

As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 124 people, 55 households, and 31 families residing in the township. The population density was 3.4 people per square mile (1.3/km²). There were 100 housing units at an average density of 2.7/sq mi (1.1/km²). The racial makeup of the township was 99.19% White, and 0.81% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.81% of the population.

There were 55 households out of which 30.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 43.6% were married couples living together, 9.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 43.6% were non-families. 41.8% of all households were made up of individuals and 25.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.25 and the average family size was 3.13.

In the township the population was spread out with 29.8% under the age of 18, 4.0% from 18 to 24, 25.8% from 25 to 44, 21.8% from 45 to 64, and 18.5% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 41 years. For every 100 females there were 90.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 97.7 males.

The median income for a household in the township was $26,250, and the median income for a family was $43,750. Males had a median income of $37,500 versus $16,875 for females. The per capita income for the township was $17,677. There were 16.7% of families and 17.3% of the population living below the poverty line, including 25.0% of under eighteens and 30.8% of those over 64.
