Split'n'Melba
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Split'n'Melba is a humorous 3D cartoon series by John Kay in which all the characters are fruit. The main characters are Inspector Split, a banana, and Sgt Melba, a peach, who are always chasing the one-fruit crime wave Mascaroni, a mafia-style pear. They live on a planet where fruit have evolved as the dominant species but things have turned out very similar to our world.
[edit] 'Split'n'Melba - Huge Ejection'
The pilot episode is called 'Split'n'Melba - Huge Ejection' and is 6 mins 40 secs long. In this Mascaroni goes to steal the 'Bullet Mk3', the latest and 'safest' jet plane, when it appears at the Pearth Annual Air Show. Sgt Melba gives chase in a Mk 2 but with dire consequences. Things don't work out very well for Mascaroni either as the Mk 3 doesn't turn out to be as safe as suggested.
'Split'n'Melba - Huge Ejection' has been selected for the BUFF Children's Film Festival 2007, Sweden.
[edit] 'Split'n'Melba - Pear-ates of the Caribbean'
In the second episode Mascaroni decides to become a pirate after seeing 'Pear-ates of the Caribbean' on the television. As usual things don't go well for him as he tries to master using a cannon.
