The area upon which Splish Splash was built was a huge piece of farmland. In 1989, Chip Clearly had a vision of a water park on Long Island on a hot day. By May 1991, the vision came true. He opened his new water park with three body slides, two speed slides, two kiddie pools, two tube slides, a lazy river, and a restaurant, all on a 32 acres. Splish Splash is nestled upon nearly one hundred acres on Long Island's eastern end.
