Splinter (Gary Numan album)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Splinter is an upcoming studio album by British musician Gary Numan, following up on his previous album, Jagged. It is slated to be worked on for a release in early 2009, after two other side projects are completed.
The announcement of the album came in a late 2006 news posting on Numan's official website, stating that he would begin work on a new studio album in January 2007, with help again from his Jagged co-producer, Ade Fenton. He described his intended musical style as like "Jagged and Pure, but faster, with bigger choruses, more energy, and more aggression". After months of no updates, Numan wrote again in November 2007, giving the album the tentative title of Splinter. He also announced that it would be worked on throughout 2008, after working on an alternate version of Jagged (titled Jagged Edge), and recording an album of unreleased demos from his Exile, Pure, and Jagged sessions (titled Resurrection).
As of May 2008, no new information has been given about the album, including its tracks, or status of progression.
