[edit] INVITATION TO COMMENTARY

I have posted several content-specific external links to a great action figure website that relates to action figures and GI Joe. There are many others external links to other websites which are similar to the ones that I posted. MALO only deleted those links which I posted, and not the others, which were also action figure collector websites. Malo also allowed the commercial spam websites of various action figure dealers (that were previously there). Apparently Malo never reviewed any of the links, and was just shot-gunning it.

I hereby request Mediation with Malo of this dispute, as I believe that Malo's actions were wrong and inappropriate. I also believe that the timing of Malo's deletions shows that Malo never looked at any of the specific links and mass-deleted them all.

Has anyone else had problems with Malo? Please feel free to point them out. I would like to know why all the external links to similar websites were allowed to stay, but my contributions were deleted.

Considering that it is not a commercial website, and only has photos of ACTION FIGURES and toys, just like the other 35 links on the same pages, I don't see how my link is spam and the others are not spam.

it need not be a commerical site to be considered spam. The mere fact that you have admitted that this is your own personal website proves that you shouldn't be adding such links into articles. So why don't you answer the question? How are all the other collector's websites, submitted mostly by the collectors themselves; not spam?? If your "ruling" applies to the individual, specific links that I posted, then they should apply across the board. There were many commercial links previously listed, and you did not delete any of them. The links I posted are non-commercial, to specific photos of collectibles. ((user|spider63}}

Additionally, based on the Wikipedia guidelines, if the website has specific photos and information about the specific topic, and I post an external link to a specific page with specific photos and information about that exact topic, and it is not a commercial website, then it is not spamming. And your arrogant attitude about who should be posting links is a great example of everything that is wrong with Wikipedia. spider63 (talk · contribs)

Please don't take the edits other users make personally. I am trying to help you, believe it or not. However there are certain guidelines to follow. It is not like I am just making up the rules in order to rain on your parade. It is obvious that you are new to wikipedia, and I am trying to inform you of some of our customs and methodologies. According to the definition of Spam on Wikipedia (the link you provided) "There are three types of wikispam: advertisements masquerading as articles, wide-scale external link spamming, and "Wikipedian-on-Wikipedian" spamming (or "internal spamming"). Articles considered advertisements include those that are solicitations for a business, product or service, or are public relations pieces designed to promote a company or individual. Wikispam articles are usually noted for sales-oriented language and external links to a commercial website. How does an external link to a specfic page with photos and information about a specific action figure; from a collector's non-commercial website fit into the definition above?? Your deletions were wrong, and they were malicious. spider63 (talk · contribs)

According to that link, any source that provides a unique resource IS NOT SPAM. Therefore, unique photos and information that was in the specific individual links was not spam. Additionally, I posted about five links, at five different topics, and each one was to a different webpage. Did you ever look at these webpages before deleting the links en masse? spider63 (talk · contribs)

This is a photo that illustrates the GI Joe Kung Fu Grip. I took the photo myself. What is your problem with it? By the way, it is not an orphan, as it is linked to Kung Fu Grip at the GI Joe Hall of Fame page.
