This is a userfied deleted article. Hardly worth getting it back, I don't even think it is accurate. My impression was that the Heise method requiring no memorisation of algorithms is not the same as Thistlethwaite, which is algorithm heavy. The no-memorisation is the 3-squares method isn't it?

Ryan Heise is best known in the speedcubing community as a programmer of several tools and inventor of a method for solving the Rubik's cube that requires no memorization, referred to as the human-Thistlethwaite algorithm.
