Talk:Spirit world (Latter Day Saints)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The contents of this page had been moved into the Spiritual world article. I have moved them back since the overwhelming usage in Mormonism is "spirit world".
It may eventually be necessary to create a specific article called "Spirit world (Mormonism)" to discuss this particular bit of Mormon theology. But for now it should at least be kept separate. -- andersonpd 01:24, 16 June 2006 (UTC)

An expanded perspective on a study of the "Spirit World", a perspective that is much broader than the extremely narrow focus of Mormonism, is had by beginning with Clarence Larkin's study of the subject - "The Spirit World", and related scriptures quoted from The Christian Bible.

"THE SPIRIT WORLD" covers the teaching of the Christian Holy Scriptures on the "Spirit World." It teaches on the "Power of Good and Evil," the "Underworld," "Satan," the "Fallen Angels," "Demonism," "Soul Sleep," the "Resurrections & Judgments" and "Heaven & Hell."
The Mormon perspective, alone, is far too limited and is a bit like science fiction when compared to what the Bible has to say on this matter.

[edit] Why has the article been restricted to Mormonism?
It appears that many other religions have teachings related to a "Spirit World" (I would like to remark the complex theology of Spiritism regarding that matter). jggouvea 01:48, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
