[edit] Other characters

Does anybody know the English names of Sus Antigoon (Spike's ghostly ancestor), De Zwarte Madam (black clad witch) and her cronies (the tall man and the half-fish)? I'm thinking about adding them, Chive Gormando and Badapel, but so far Google is of little help. Also, would it be a big problem if I would be unable to list these characters' debut albums? --_The Hiddey_ 18:09, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

I wouldn't add these, they are really minor characters, only appearing in very few albums (Sus Antigoon a bit more often than the others, but still...) We should concentrate on the main characters and the main characteristics of the series, not try to mention everything. Fram 19:04, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Merge

This article should be merged with Suske_&_Wiske. It contains almost the same information, and Suske and Wiske is not a correct name for this lemma. I suggest that the merge shall be placed at Spike_and_Suzy. Effeietsanders 15:16, 28 Apr 2005 (UTC)

The authors should make a decision on what names to use, and use that set of names consequently. Aimed at an English speaking audience, Spike and Suzy or the Willy and Wanda set would be good, but every paragraph uses a different set now.

I think that we have to choose for the UK names i.e. Spike and Suzy, Ambrose etc. After all, the name of this article is based on the UK version. Andries 07:56, 30 April 2006 (UTC)
True enough. But due to the mild interest I would suggest to trim this article further down. The table with the translations is realy confusing, and is just too much on the page. Just use a simple list of languages, and only translate the names for our two young heros Spike and suzy. It should be a litle bit more on par with the dutch wikipedia article nl:Suske en Wiske. --Jdesmet 07:13, 21 July 2006 (UTC)
I agree, the table with the names is too big and not informative (interesting) enough. You don't come to an English language encuyclopedia to learn the Danish names of Flemish characters... Perhaps the tabe, if enough people do find that it should be preserved, could be moved to a different article (characters in Spike and Suzy or so, or translations of Spike and Suzy))? The only one I would keep are the original names (Flemish and Dutch), and the English ones (all versions), and then not in a table but as info with every character. Fram 17:21, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
You make a point. I understand we carry pride in having this translated in so many languages, I think it is ok to keep it in the dutch wiki, but it does not belong here. Like you suggest, original and english should be enough. After all, the article of Superman is also not supported by a list of hundreds of translations and dialects .... Also referencing to the characters as a "family" of sorts requires insiders knowledge to understand. This should be either elaborated or removed. And isn't "of sorts" a to straight from flemish, I am not even sure if it still stands in English.--Jdesmet 03:01, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Worldview expressed

The worldview expressed section seems to be uneeded original research. Lots42 (talk) 12:47, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

Tagged for almost a year without improvements... I have removed it, thanks for drawing my attention to it. Fram (talk) 12:55, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
